‘Outstanding’ Short Breaks Provider
Achieving “Outstanding” has always been our aim at Oak Cottage and having achieved it in all six areas has demonstrated that with hard work and commitment you can move mountains.
Currently the percentage of “outstanding” care providers is still relatively low, so we are extremely proud of what we have established especially as we have only been providing short breaks provision for a short time.
This success has been down to real determination and commitment and our belief in the service we provide. Everyone has contributed to this success, from Senior Managers who have supported and trusted us to deliver the best outcomes, to each individual member of the staff team whose team work and efforts were fundamental, whose communication was of key importance and whose focus was never lost.
We hope this recognition will help parents to feel safe and confident that the service they have chosen is of a high standard and will provide positive outcomes for their children and we hope parents feel proud that their children have had the opportunity to use our service. We hope that for parents that are worried about accessing this service, our achievement will help to alleviate their fears and encourage them to take the break they need.
For all the children and young people that have accessed our service we have provided them with support and opportunities for both fun and developing life skills. We hope that they too can feel safe, confident and happy about the service they have received and continue to receive.
Ofsted said “Young people enjoy their short breaks and benefit from a staff team who are skilled, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. As a result, young people receive stimulating and purposeful short-break care that is also fun”
Progress Care Solutions continues to remain focused on delivering positive outcomes for young people and promoting independence at every opportunity. We are confident that this recognition by Ofsted reflects why we should be a care provider of choice for young people with disabilities and complex needs.
For us it does not end here. This is simply the beginning of what Oak Cottage will continuously strive to provide for all the young people that access our service.
